Now in our third decade, Brytar Companies provide investors and tenants with some of the most thorough local market knowledge in the industry. Through our extensive experience, insight and resources, our team is able to assist investors, tenants and third party property owners in making more knowledgeable real estate decisions.

Brytar has successfully developed more than $400 million of commercial projects throughout Texas and Colorado for regional and nationally known investors and tenants. Brytar's projects include single-tenant build to suits, multi-tenant retail strip centers, medical office facilities, office tech and land development. Brytar/Scott as of March/April 2019 are currently involved with developing over $80 million in development projects in Texas and Colorado including Durango and Parker Colorado, and in San Antonio, Schertz, Austin ( Cedar Park), Ft Worth ( Westworth Village), Garland, Rowlett and Dallas proper for Brytar clients that include LA Fitness, Starbucks, Shipley’s Donuts, Smoothie King, Pizza Hut, and multiple units for The Learning Experience as a preferred developer in Colorado and Texas.

Scott Remphrey- Managing Partner/ President

Since founding Brytar, Inc., dba Brytar Companies in 1996 (now in its Third Decade), Scott has invested his time extensively to further strengthen his initial goal of serving client, investor and tenant interests throughout the entire process of acquisition, development of and completion of each unique project by imparting his extensive real estate experience and commitment to excellence.

His experience since 1983 in the commercial real estate business includes serving as President of Sovereign Commercial Realty; the brokerage, acquisition / disposition subsidiary of Southwest Properties Group, for seven years during the 90s. During that time, he was directly responsible for the acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and disposition of over 2 million square feet of industrial retail and office projects throughout the U.S. Prior to Sovereign, he served as the Executive Vice President of Sullivan Development, where he was responsible for the acquisition and ultimate dispositions of Sullivan's multiple development properties.

Prior to the Commercial Real Estate business, Scott was a highly rated Sales Representative/Executive for International Business Machines (IBM) Office Products Division after graduation from SMU in 1979.

As a leader in the commercial real estate industry, Scott has been previously active in the National and Texas Association of Realtors, the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR), the Urban Land Institute, the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

His community involvement is no less extensive. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Clayton Dabney Foundation for Kids with Cancer (and was awarded the exclusive ‘Apex Award’ and the ‘Gift of Giving Back’ awards) and also serves on the Board of the Texas NF (Neurofibromatosis Foundation) and has been the successful sitting Chairman for Dining Out in Dallas since 2008 which is NF's biggest fundraiser. Scott is also a past Board member of the SMU Mustang Club, a committee member with Special Olympics and previously has been involved with additional fundraising efforts for the YMCA, St. Rita School, Christ The King School, Bishop Lynch High School and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Scott has recently also been involved civically as a selected member on the Mayor of Dallas Downtown Preservation Solutions Task Force. Preservation Texas awarded Scott and the Task Force with the 2016 prestigious ‘Preservation Texas Alamo Award’. Scott also currently serves as a select member on the Downtown Dallas Preservation Solution’s Committee. Scott has also served for the past 2 years on the Chad Morris/Jerry Levias SMU Golf Classic Football Fund Committee for fund raising for the SMU football team.

Scott is a 1979 graduate of Southern Methodist University with a BBA, and is married to Laurin, with two children, Bryan and Tara ( the source of the name Brytar).
Monica Kellett- VP Finance

Monica Lally Kellett’s successful career as a Real Estate Accountant commenced in 2000 and has been personally responsible for the accounting at Brytar Companies since 2005. Monica has experience in both the management of and the accounting for existing single tenant retail buildings, multi-tenant retail buildings, office/mixed-use buildings, self-storage complexes and apartments; along with the financial and construction monitoring of the actual development of retail and office/mixed-use buildings.

 Prior to Brytar, Monica supervised the accounting for 10,000 units of apartment projects and over half a million sq. ft. of retail projects previously with the Henry S. Miller Companies in Dallas.

 Additional duties at Brytar include the financial evaluation and construction oversight of Brytar’s development projects, fiscal budgets, financial reporting to third party owners, lenders and tenants, yearly tenant triple net reconciliations, maintaining vendor relations and the completion of due diligence oversight on Brytar purchases and sales.

 Monica is married with two girls, Morgan and Carley.

Monica attended Texas A&M at Galveston from 1992-1996. She has performed volunteer work for the Dallas SPCA, Habitat for Humanity and the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

 
 

Tim Selaiden- Facilities Manager

Tim Selaiden has been the Facilities Manager for Brytar Companies since 2003 with a strong background in the property structure, parking oversight, HVAC and roof maintenance and the overall facilities management for all of third party and Brytar owned DFW projects.

Tim has been associated with his partner/brother at Suburban Building Services, Inc since 1984 in the overall Facility Management profile. Suburban Building Services, Inc. has completed major and minor renovations for managed existing apartment projects/complexes and HOAs across the DFW Metroplex. Tim also owns MLS Services which caters to the maintenance and facilities management of retail and commercial real estate.

Tim is married to Kris, and together one daughter, Megan. In his leisure time, Tim enjoys traveling to Colorado and spending quality time with friends and family. 

Tim has donated his time and resources for DFW Lab Rescue since 2006 and has also been active with several additional local animal shelters as needed.
