Personal Profile

Scott Remphrey
Principal

Founder and Principal Scott Remphrey personally brings his extensive real estate experience, commitment to excellence and a client-oriented viewpoint to Brytar Companies.  Since starting the company in 1996, he has invested his time to further and strengthen his initial goal - serving client, investor and tenant interests throughout the entire process of acquisition, development and the ultimate completion of each project.

His experience, since 1983 in the commercial real estate business, includes serving as President of Sovereign Commercial Realty, the acquisition / disposition subsidiary of Southwest Properties Group, for eight years.  During that time, he was directly responsible for the acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and disposition of over 5 million square feet of industrial retail and office projects throughout the county.   Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President of Sullivan Development, where he was responsible for the acquisitions and ultimate dispositions of Sullivan’s multiple development properties.

A leader in the commercial real estate industry, Scott has been active in the National and Texas Association of Realtors, the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR), the Urban Land Institute, the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and is currently actively involved with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

His community involvement is no less extensive.  He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Clayton Dabney Foundation for Kids with Cancer, is a past Board member of the SMU Mustang Club, a committee member with Special Olympics and has been involved with fundraising efforts for the YMCA, St. Rita School, Bishop Lynch High School, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Texas NF Foundation.

A 1979 graduate of Southern Methodist University, Scott is married with two children (Bryan and Tara – the source of the name Brytar).
